My Background
I grew up in a rural, 200+ year old farm house surrounded by orchards that stretched back 100’s of acres to a river in Walden NY. As a kid, I seemingly had a never ending adventure right out the back door and that experience shaped my life. I love to travel through the wilder places still. Documenting and sharing the experience is a natural extension of who I am.

My Vision
I view wild lands and rural scenes from an artist’s perspective - as an open canvas. The changing seasons, changing light, changing weather, and all the available variables within the camera give me infinite creative opportunities. Every scene has the ability to evoke an emotion within me that I then try to capture and share with others in the form of a visual story. If I can get the viewer of my images to pause, even for a moment, then I have succeeded in eliciting an emotion much like I experienced when creating the photograph.
